Amanda Gray
Amanda Gray is a native Portlander with over 20 years of experience as an immigration attorney in New York City and Portland. After working at two full-service immigration firms after graduating from law school, she founded Amanda Gray Immigration Law (AGIL) in 2022. Amanda’s favorite part of her job is defending her clients from deportation and helping them achieve lawful status and citizenship. She deeply enjoys getting to know them as they traverse the difficult and often complicated path through the immigration system.
Amanda specializes in the intersection of criminal and immigration law (crimmigration) and handles a wide variety of cases from applications for permanent residence, citizenship and asylum to representation in removal proceedings in immigration court and appeals and federal litigation.

Amanda is careful, thoughtful, compassionate and creative. She assesses each case for the best possible strategy and outcome.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College in English Literature and received her law degree from City University of New York. While in college, she also studied abroad in Japan and speaks conversational Japanese.
Amanda is an avid runner having completed the Seattle and New York City marathons and has participated in over 15 Hood to Coast relay races. She also enjoys downhill and cross country skiing, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
